Pleasant Surprise

I was pleasantly surprised that I qualified for a free stamp set for my sales during the sale-a-bration promotion. I really didn't pay attention to my sales during the promotion. I was hoping I did well, but not keeping track I didn't know.

Enjoy your time with family and friends. Take a few minutes to really appreciate what you have, and not dwell on what you don't have.

Marie Antoinette

Tonight Todd and I decided to watch one of the many movies we have recorded on our DVR to try and clean it up a little (we got it down to 47% full now)
Anyway I chose Marie Antoinette (I love period movies) and not knowing hardly anything about her life thought it would be a good choice.
I did like the movie, the story of her life facinated me. But why did Sophia Coppola who directed the movie use modern rock songs in the movie? It really distracted your attention in some parts of the film and some songs didn't fit the scene. Maybe she was paid a good amoung of $ to feature these songs.
Anyway the movie starred Kirsten Dunst as Marie and Jason Schwartzman as Louis XVI
I liked the movie but it wouldn't be one I would purchase on DVD.

Brothers layout

My sister Raelynn got me hooked on a website (coordinating collections) that offers a kit of the month club. You get a coordinating supply kit with enough items to make numerous layouts or cards.
I made this layout with my 1st kit and still have enough supplies left over from the kit to make a few more layouts.

Bumper Sticker

I saw a bumper sticker on a car on the way home from work today it read:
Are you still employed? Keep buying foreign and you won't be much longer.

I know there are some things that you can't control in buying foreign but I know there are conscience choices that Americans can make when purchasing items.
The biggest ones are Cars and Food.

I actually made this card at Archivers when they had their make and take weekend in March.
Kind of cool. Using the 2 different sizes of flower punches and a ribbon to make the stem and leaves.

Yours Mine and Ours

Tonight on TCM they showed Yours Mine and Ours
Plot courtesy of IMDB: When a widower with 10 children marries a widow with 8, can the 20 of them ever come together as one big happy family? From finding a house big enough for all of them and learning to make 18 school lunches, to coping with a son going off to war and an unexpected addition to the family, Yours, Mine and Ours attempts to blend two families.

I hadn't seen this movie in years and forgot how funny and cute it was.
